The Story of Reimagine Alabama

Reimagine Alabama is a transformative Activist Movement that started in 2023. We embrace a strategy of empowering the community from the ground up, facilitating leadership opportunities and advocating for changes with a real impact.

Our current focus is reducing the recidivism rate in our state and providing a pathway for dignified re-entry for returning citizens.  Through legislative action a holistic, community-focused, cost-effective, rehabilitative plan can provide the support, resources, and pathway to reduce the number of re-offenders clogging our justice and prison system.  By re-aligning existing evidence based programming offered by state social service agenices and the Alabama Department of Corrections Pre-Release and Re-Entry Office we can improve the lives of Alabamaians being released from the carceral system.
